Spring

Growth. Rebirth. Sweet, budding Spring. The unthawing of our bodies and the excitement of out spirit. The feeling of renewal abounds. 

Sunny days offer warmth and a contagious energy of joy and spontaneity...thought Spring is not all fun and games. The season can be heavy with water, causing unease and unrest, inflammation in the joints and lethargy in the body. Weeks on end of grey, damp days can often seasonally affect us more than the frigid, dark days of Winter. The inherent human demand of things to change faster, and more consistently can offer an anxious feeling while waiting for those perfect bright days to return. The good news is they will. 

Practice strong, flowing yoga, to move the heavy feeling out of the body and the mind. Eat lighter fare, and be uninhibited with the spices. Drink a cup of coffee or tea to brighten your mood, and know that sunshine and warmth are within reach.
